Our teams across JN Bentley and our joint venture companies – Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) and Jeremy Benn Associates Bentley (JBAB) – are working tirelessly to deliver vital works to communities across the UK.
Much of our work is delivered in the water and waste water sector and we have a vital role in delivering works that enable our clients to ensure communities continue to have a clean water supply, that sewage is safely taken away and treated and that communities are protected from flooding. This means many of our sites – which are delivering works such as this – are classed as critical and must remain open and operational.
The health, safety and wellbeing of our people is our top priority. We are continuing to follow government guidance to ensure our workforce is protected. All employees who are able to carry out their role from home are doing so. We have implemented the Construction Leadership Council’s Standard Operating Procedures on our sites and developed a specific risk assessment for Covid-19 avoidance and prevention which is reviewed on a weekly basis by our Senior Management Team.
Sites remain operational where they are able to comply with the measures outlines in our Standard Operating Procedures which are defined in our Occupational Health Standard for Safe Operation during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Our regional offices mostly remain closed, however a small number have been re-opened with all required Covid-secure measures in place including a reduced maximum capacity allowance, to enable those employees who are unable to work from home to continue to carry out their roles.
To mirror the operating procedures for our sites we have developed an office-specific risk assessment and Occupational Health Standard to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our colleagues upon the re-opening of our offices.
Our health and safety resources relating to Covid-19 are reviewed on a weekly basis by our Senior Management Team and revised in line with changing government advice.
