Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) is committed to investing in its early career professionals (ECPs). Whether they join as an apprentice, placement student or graduate, or are within the first 10 years of their career, ECPs are part of a wider early careers network designed to support their development from day one.

ECP Day

MMB has welcomed a record breaking 150 early career professionals to its annual event in Manchester alongside more than 15 senior leaders from across the business. The event provides an opportunity for colleagues to network and get involved with workshops led by senior leaders from across the business.

During the day, delegates have taken part in a range of workshops – from artificial intelligence (AI) and growth of the business to planning, educational outreach and various stalls - working collaboratively with colleagues and subject matter experts to deepen their knowledge and share ideas for best practice.

A senior leader Q&A panel has featured Simon Hyams, operations director; Rebecca Mann, sustainability manager; Aimee Hindle, design manager; Oliver Kerwin, commercial director; and Alan Warren, Dams and Reservoirs Director and Fellow at Mott MacDonald. ECPs have had the opportunity to ask questions about the business and seek career advice. Paul Bentley, Group Executive Board member and Contracting CEO, also joined to offer some further words of advice to the group.

Celebrating excellence: ECP awards

The ECP network has hosted its annual awards ceremony for the third-year running, recognising individuals’ outstanding contributions to the network. Congratulations to this year’s winners:

  • Inspiring People – Dylan Villkhu

  • Exhibiting Excellence – Fin Brown

  • Sustainability Champion – Tom Stanton

  • Site Safety Star – Ellis Hird

  • ECP of the Year – Jack Parsons

About the network

MMB’s ECP Network spans the whole business and, as part of the global Mott MacDonald Group, connects individuals across regions to share ideas and support development to create an inclusive and diverse community for those who are in the early stages of their career.

It provides a platform for colleagues to share ideas, knowledge and skills to support their career goals, provide development opportunities and influence the future direction of the business.
