National engineering design and construction company Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) has been named a partner on a new framework with long-term client, Yorkshire Water.
The framework will see MMB deliver complex projects on Yorkshire Water’s non-infrastructure assets at both clean and wastewater sites. This ranges from new wastewater treatment works to improvements to existing impounding reservoirs – and everything in between. The framework covers the 2025 – 2030 delivery period, with the option to extend a further five years.
Tom Lewis, operations director at MMB, said, "It is great to have secured this new contract with Yorkshire Water, MMB’s longest-standing client. MMB has evolved in partnership with Yorkshire Water over the past 25 years and we look forward to continuing the relationship over the next decade.
"We’re fully committed to helping Yorkshire Water continue to deliver affordable, good quality solutions to the people and businesses of Yorkshire, doing so through our direct-delivery model and focus on innovation and new ways of working."
"We share the vision for a thriving Yorkshire and look forward to bringing AMP7 to a successful close and getting AMP8 off to a strong start."
Rachael Fox, head of programme delivery at Yorkshire Water, said, "We’re looking forward to working with our chosen partners as we embark on an ambitious investment programme from 2025. There’s a big challenge ahead – not only to meet new regulatory requirements, but to meet customer expectations too – and effective collaboration will be key to our success."
MMB joins fellow partners Kier, Galliford Try, Barhale, Glanua, Ward & Burke and Tilbury Douglas on this new framework.
Serving 5.7 million customers, Yorkshire Water is one of the UK’s largest regulated water companies and one with whom MMB and JN Bentley have enjoyed a long history. It was the beginning of AMP3 and a desire for fully integrated design-and-build solutions that prompted the formation of MMB, building on foundations laid by JN Bentley in the 20+ years prior.
MMB has now secured long-term framework agreements with nine of the UK’s largest water companies.
With important programmes of work to deliver through AMP8 and beyond, there are opportunities to join MMB’s growing team across the UK in design, operations, commercial and frontline construction roles. Please visit the MMB website for more details.
