Mott MacDonald Bentley appointed to Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water AMP8 framework

National engineering design and construction company Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) has secured a new framework with Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water that will last up to eight years.

Awarded following a competitive tender process, the new framework will see MMB tackle projects across the Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water (DCC) region covering both clean and wastewater treatment sites, as well as below ground assets, reservoirs and nature-based solutions.

One of the largest regulated water and sewerage companies in the UK, DCC is responsible for providing water and wastewater services to over three million people.

After securing its first framework with DCC at the beginning of AMP6, MMB’s presence in Wales has grown significantly. It directly employs over 270 colleagues in the country across all roles, from frontline construction to design and management positions. It boasts strong links with local supply chains, which have been integral to the company’s growth allowing delivery of over £300m of work in the region since 2015.

Upon contract award, director David Marsh, said, “We are delighted to secure this new long-term contract with Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water.

“Since MMB started working with DCC ten years ago, we’ve established a collaborative working relationship and set down strong roots right across Wales.

“We’ll continue to focus on providing affordable, innovative solutions for DCC and their customers and are fully committed to meeting the challenges facing the sector head-on through AMP8 and beyond.”

News of MMB’s success with DCC means the company now holds framework agreements with nine of the UK’s largest water and sewerage companies.  JN Bentley - the construction arm of MMB - also delivers work for DCC through the major capital delivery framework.

With major programmes of work to deliver over the next five years, there are opportunities to join MMB’s growing team across the UK in design, operations and frontline construction roles. Please visit the MMB website for more details.
