JN Bentley is proud to now offer the Skills Bootcamp in water and construction training. Providing practical training and valuable skills required for working in the industry, the Skills Bootcamp is open to those new to the industry as well as individuals who are looking to enhance their skills.
What is a Skills Bootcamp?
Skills Bootcamps are part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life. They are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and an offer of an interview with an employer upon completion.
Skills Bootcamp in water and construction training
The Skills Bootcamp in water and construction training will provide you with the training and skills required for a water and utilities construction worker. The training will run for up to 16 weeks, depending on individuals’ existing experience and training. Courses will include:

Health & Safety Awareness
Working at Height
Manual Handling
EUSR National Water Hygiene
NOCN Abrasive Wheels
SSSTS (2-day)
EUSR Combined Butt Fusion & Electro Fusion Welding
EUSR Flange Installation
C&G Low Risk Confined Spaces
Basic Excavation
Health & Safety Awareness
EUSR Category 2 Implement Safe (Digging) Excavating Practices
EUSR Utility Location
NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper/Roller
Materials Handling
Health & Safety Awareness
NPORS Slinger Signaller
The training is available nationwide, with hubs in Skipton and Shifnal. Start dates will be advertised and discussed during the application process.
After completing the training, you are guaranteed an interview for a paid permanent role.
