- JN Bentley launches annual review
JN Bentley has published its 2024 annual review. The review looks back on the last 12 months in JN Bentley and its fully-integrated design and build companies, Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) and JBA Bentley. 2024 was the busiest year in the company's history as over £550m worth of revenue was delivered with clients across the UK. Whilst much of MMB's efforts were focused on helping clients hit critical regulatory output dates in the water sector, JN Bentley and JBA Bentley remained committed to building business in other markets such as environment, industrial building and energy. One particular highlight was closing the latest round of AMP8 contract awards in England and Wales having secured frameworks with nine of the largest regulated water and sewerage companies. It is thanks to the brilliant projects being delivered that the organisation has made itself industry-leading and in turn enjoyed such a successful round of tendering. The annual review covers core areas of the organisation – including a focus on people, safety and money - plus case studies that demonstrate the very best of JN Bentley, MMB and JBA Bentley. Please enjoy the read. We have a small number of printed copies of the annual review available. To request a copy, please email communications@jnbentley.co.uk .

- Mott MacDonald Bentley supports local communities at Christmas
Over the festive period, Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) has actively engaged in charitable activities across its operational areas throughout the UK. Through our charitable giving, volunteering and community support activities, we aim to make a positive difference in communities where we operate. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach to supporting society and charitable giving our efforts focus on offering our skills, time and expertise to community projects. MMB and United Utilities colleagues at Mossley Wastewater Treatment Works (WwTW), Bolton WwTW, and Chorley Better Rivers have raised the Christmas spirit this year for three local charities; enabling the project teams and some of our suppliers, to give something back to the communities in which they work. At Mossley and Bolton colleagues donated toys and raised just over £1,600 for two local children’s charities; charities who focus on supporting families and children who will receive very little this Christmas. The Better Rivers Chorley team supported their local foodbank by donated well needed items. Julie Sands, Liaison Coordinator said “This collective effort has brought positive cheer to all our sites and demonstrated a real spirit of giving.” In the North East, the team at Horsley donated their skills, time and expertise to make improvements to the local Women’s Institute Village Hall, as the uneven, all-gravelled drive was difficult for disabled residents to access. With the help of Premier Traffic Management and Northeast Site Services, the driveway was completed, and the team even gave the village hall a new coat of paint. JN Bentley colleagues have also proudly supported the Springwood assisted living apartments, in Shifnal, by laying paving slabs across three areas of the grounds, improving the area for both residents and staff, who were overjoyed with the results and expressed their gratitude with heartfelt praise and delicious cakes! In Worminghall, Buckinghamshire colleagues volunteered to upgrade a local village hall, which is the hub of the community and hosts many events and clubs, including a weekly Saturday coffee morning. The team spent two days tidying an overgrown area around the oil base tank, paving with recycled slabs to minimise ongoing garden maintenance, installing a handrail to an exterior ramp, and painting an exterior wall. In Leeds, the team has been busy collecting toy and gift donations for vulnerable and disadvantaged children through the Cash4Kids Mission Christmas appeal. Cash4Kids partners with front-line organisations like social services, schools, and grassroots community groups to directly help local children and young people. Around 150 gifts were generously donated by colleagues to be distributed to children across the region Well done and thank you to all our colleagues who have taken part in community initiatives, offering their skills, resources, and time to deliver better social outcomes and support our society.
